Now that spring has finally sprung and we are heading into warmer weather, we can creep out of the warm caves we have been hiding in all winter and take our exercises to the outdoors. We all know drinking water is good for us. After all, the adult human body is made up of about 60% water. It is essential for optimal organ function and overall wellbeing. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery, with 31% water. You can see why we definitely need to consume water on a regular basis.
