For centuries ancient cultures worshiped the sun. These people saw the sun as a source of life that was necessary to grow crops for food. The sun became thought of as a god that gives energy to the world around them. In modern times we do not worship the sun as ancient cultures did, but it still plays a crucial role in our lives and our health. The sun is still necessary to grow the foods we need to sustain ourselves, as well as provide us with the best source of vitamin D. This vitamin functions as a hormone, and every single cell in your body has a receptor for it. Many of the natural mechanisms in the body require vitamin D like muscle movement and proper immune function.

For months, ideas on treatments for COVID-19 have been tossed around by many doctors, medical professionals, politicians, and other public figures. Antimalarial medications and other viral vaccines seem to be suggested the most and have the best possibility to work as a treatment. Hydroxychloroquine was the antimalarial medication that came up the most. Initial test trials found it to be effective in some patients with COVID-19. Now a large study suggests that hydroxychloroquine doesn't help with COVID-19. It seems that this virus is strange in many ways and acts differently in people, making it hard to come up with standard treatment. Right now, the most promising research may come from an organic herbal tonic made from indigenous plants in Madagascar.

Diet plans can be made with these products to achieve an individual's desired fitness results. Sadly many of these products are loaded with refined sugars, GMOs, preservatives, artificial colors, artificial flavors, and more! Who doesn't love salt? It is a great way to kick the flavor up on just about any dish you are making. It complements other flavors in foods and gives you that salty satisfaction many of us are looking for. But what is salt and what is its purpose in the body? Salt contains an essential trace mineral known as sodium. Our bodies need sodium for several functions including contracting and relaxing muscles, maintaining proper fluid balance and preventing dehydration, sending nervous system impulses, and preventing low blood pressure. What is even more impressive is that recent research has suggested that eating salt can reduce the risk of infection and kill harmful bacteria. Another study done on animals has also shown that salt may have a positive effect on symptoms of depression. So salt can be a good thing, but does all salt stack up the same?
